Lime Tree
05:53
|
|||
I wake hourly
my sweetest one.
Saccharine,
my shred of sun.
See me nightly,
in through the throat.
Survey the night
through the eye of a goat.
Panoramic,
endlessly.
A circular wind
'round the lime tree.
Bitter fruit,
I will eat my fill.
Sour my tongue,
reluctantly, I know I will.
Daylight, curtains.
Cuts me in half.
The night viewed by day
is a mooncalf.
You atone by
daylight hours
for fruit you fed,
so sour.

Sluice (demo)
04:41
|
|||
Lighting smoke,
a pin to poke
a hole through me
on a soupy moon.
An eidolon
to build upon,
a forming cloud
on a statue smooth.
We were sluiced
sleeping drunk as death,
curling bodies
'round a form of breath.
The snowstorm came
a funny frame
to fall around
and a silly swoon,
bristling with
angel wings
her gooseflesh skin
Emma kicks the loom.
We were sluiced
sleeping drunk as death,
curling bodies
'round a form of breath.
We were sluiced
sleeping drunk as death,
Emma kicks the loom
on the warp and weft.
